Thank you for considering Atonement Lutheran School for your student. In order to be sure that our curriculum and environment is one in which your child will be successful, we do administer an admissions test for all in-coming students beginning in kindergarten.
The test will be scheduled once the application and registration fee is submitted.

Other Important Enrollment Information
Age Requirements (Preschool): In order to stay aligned with the Jefferson Parish Schools, we require our students in the 3 year old class, to be three, on or before, September 30th. Those entering the 4 year old class, also need to be four, on or before, September 30th.
Age Requirements (Kindergarten/1st Grade): Jefferson Parish Schools require that students entering Kindergarten must be five years of age, on or before, September 30th. Those entering 1st grade must be six years of age, on or before, September 30th.
Readiness: For those students entering Kindergarten, a readiness assessment is administered by Atonement school personnel. All students entering preschool must be toilet trained.
Testing for Kindergarten through 8th grade: New students beginning in Grades 1-8 will be required to provide a copy of the child's previous year report card and most recent standardized test results. New students are required to participate in a testing/screening program administered by Atonement personnel.
School Dress Guidelines: Atonement Lutheran School has a mandatory school uniform. We feel that the dress and appearance of students plays an important part in the overall atmosphere of the school program.
School Calendar: Atonement attempts to parallel its school calendar with that of Jefferson Parish Schools. The school year typically runs from mid-August through late-May.
Current Family Referrals: Our current families are our best marketing tool and we appreciate referrals! If you refer a family who then successfully enrolls at Atonement, you are eligible for a $100 tuition credit. To receive the credit, a written or emailed letter must be sent to the School Office indicating your family is responsible for that referral within the 1st quarter of the same school year.
