Pastor

Pastor Tim was born in Yuma, AZ. He completed his

pre-seminary studies at Concordia University in Irvine, CA, and his seminary studies at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. 

Pastor Tim vicared at Light of the Hills in Cameron Park, CA. Upon completion of his pastoral studies in 2009, he was ordained. 

At the time of his ordination, he became the associate pastor of St. John in Union, IL, serving there for four years and then heading to St.Paul's in Garden Grove, CA. Pastor Tim has been Impacting Lives Through Christ at Atonement since August of 2015.

Pastor Tim is married to Rose Schutt, who is an LCMS-trained DCE. The Schutts are proud parents of three children - Levi, age 11, and Eden, age 8, and Zeke is 5.  Pastor Tim loves sports, spending time with his family, and exploring the beautiful city of New Orleans.


Administrative Coordinator

Rebekah was born and raised in Metairie. She married her husband, Alex, in 2006. She has spent the last ten years as a stay-at-home mom raising her family. During this time, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting, graduating Magna Cum Laude, in 2017. She went on to earn a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance, graduating Magna Cum Laude, in 2019.

She has three children at Atonement and has been an active parent as an annual room mom, Boy Scout Assistant Leader, and enjoys volunteering as often as she can. She was excited to join our Atonement family as our Administrative Coordinator in March of 2019.

Her favorite Atonement outreach is Vacation Bible School. You can find her leading the kids in singing, dancing, and shouting praises to God! Besides kids and music, she loves running, biking, camping, and going on road trips as often as she can.

Music Director

Mr. Evan Arceneaux attended Atonement Lutheran from kindergarten through eighth grade, graduating in 2008. He graduated summa cum laude from Valparaiso University, an independent Lutheran university in Northwest Indiana, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in music (piano performance) and English literature. At Valparaiso University, Mr. Arceneaux received a faith-based, liberal arts education, receiving instruction in music theory, ear-training, voice, piano, and organ. He offers a diverse skillset, which includes improvisation, conducting, hymn-playing, chamber music, accompanying, and ensemble performance. After graduating from Valparaiso, Mr. Arceneaux participated in a scholarship program that allowed him to spend one year in Rennes, France, where he taught English to French high school students. Mr. Arceneaux’s passion for education has led him to pursue a Master of Arts in Teaching degree at Centenary College of Louisiana, where he will graduate in May 2018. Upon graduation, Mr. Arceneaux will be state-certified to teach elementary, K-12 music, and K-12 French
