Secondary Title

Atonement Lutheran School's

Response to Covid-19

We are still enrolling for 2020-21 academic year!  If you are looking for a new school for your student(s), we would love to tell you more about what we offer.

Please email schooloffice@alcs.org, or leave a message at 504.887.0225.

  • During the state mandated closing of our school and church, we will be working from home during our regular office hours of 8am-4pm Monday though Friday.  We will check email and our voicemail messages from home, so please feel free to contact us at schooloffice@alcs.org or churchoffice@alcs.org

At this time, the Governor has indicated we will be "sheltered in place" until May 15th.  Our office will not open until this has been lifted.

As we head into phase 1, our campus will continue to stay closed.

The gates will be open during regular business hours to allow access to the mailbox.  Feel free to leave items there for our staff and faculty if necessary.

  • We will be utilizing Google Classroom for our K-8 online instruction while we are out of school.  If you family is having trouble with wifi capabilities please check out this link HERE.

Preschool classes are utilizing ClassTag for curriculum online.  In addition the classes meet in secure Zoom meetings and teachers are providing activities to keep students engaged and on track.

  • In order to help keep us all connected during this period of time when we must be physically distant from each other, ALCS has developed a YouTube Channel. This platform allows us to live stream our church services, bible studies, school chapels as well as post video messages from our leadership.

  • Mr. Molin has been busy working from home and takes time out each week to make an address to the students and families.  These are available on our YouTube Channel. Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss anything.

  • We understand how difficult it is to feel connected during this time.  We miss our students more than words can express!  We have developed the Family Engagement Committee (FEC) to plan fun activities that you can get involved with as we move through this strange time.  We hope you will keep engaged through our Social Media outlets and participate!
